Another upcoming commercial development in the heart of Petaling Jaya, The Starling (retail centre) is set to provide another holistic and vibrant shopping experience in Damansara Uptown, come second half of 2015. Looks like every other malls out there. When is mall-fatigue going to kick in? Already tired looking at the same, old, recycled concept. A lot of these similar malls are already not performing as expected, so makes this one and the next and the next to be reckoned with?

This mall will do well in the beginning if well managed... however, in future, the same cannot be said for Tropicana City and even 1 Utama and The Curve.

Retailers in 1 Utama are struggling now, only with weekend crowd to depend on. Even then, weekend crowd are lesser, buying only essential stuffs, and rental gone up like mad...

sunway pyramid quite different from other malls actually with its own skating rink,theme park and unique design

Just curious, why is 1U struggling? As I recall, last time I was there in 2008, it was still pulling in shoppers (or window shoppers). It doesn't look like there are new malls of 1U's caliber within a few kilometers away, other than Paradigm. Hmm......
