I missed this thread. Though the white boxy thing is bland, the tower is actually quite nice.

According to this The Berkley Group are planning an even bigger tower on City Road (41 floors). Any gusees as to where? there is a big derelict site opposite the Eagle pub used as a car park. Perhaps there...

Lol- I wonder if Leo Chapman, a local environmental activist is for or against towers

They are talking about the City Forum site BTW.

City Road

I'm not from the area but there seems to be a lot happening. Are the following all going ahead:-
145 City Road (this thread!)
Eagle House
151-159 City Road
250 City Road
259 City Road

Have I missed any?

Thanks!

Finsbury local plan to improve the area over the next 15 years. Check out page 48 of the following document:

http://www.islington.gov.uk/publicre...Submission.pdf

Over the last 5 years whilst i've lived there the changes to the old street area have been coming thick and fast. The whole 'Silicon roundabout' name is also helping to draw investment.

Deoes anyone know which site this story relates to? Is it 99 East Road? basically piling drills penetrated the mainline train tunnel that runs under east road...

http://apps.hackney.gov.uk/servapps/...DAURI=PLANNING

7 stories - the 'application documents' link doesnt appear to be working at the moment but when its back up you can see the plan for the office/residential building here.

[Edit: 99 East road is 7 stories - 145 city road is 39 stories]
