So they got the vacation, but it's not 50 storeys?

The 500' concept was always 41 stories or thereabouts. I assume this is due to (a) tall story heights on the lower floors and (b) rooftop mechanical etc. I don't know the rules, but they don't get the easy 10% added height that residential gets.

Maybe they're going on parallel routes with the two concepts, though the other one was applied for first. Or maybe they got some news that things are looking better for the vacation.

Fingers crossed for the bigger one but I can live with the other as well.

So....here's the DPD document for the hotel, alley vacation and all. I'm still confused by this. When does the Council vote on the alley vacation? Or did it already sneak the vote through while I was off on vacation?

That's just the completion of EIS. I'd guess they wouldn't complete it unless the concept was still on the table though.

The council is making these decisions very late in the process. It's a huge problem.
