I think was originally done some years or so ago in conjunction with the KSS consented scheme before the Spammers got the nod for the TaxPayer Stadium.

Scudamore is a gin the two stadium to maintain the integrity of the competition. Yes clubs can apply to play at a 2nd stadium but this requires a majority vote. In the case of a catastrophic event I don’t think there would be any problem in getting that majority.

For Spurs to swap fixtures it doesn’t require a vote of the PL chairmen just the PL executives and the the consent of the other clubs to swap. All home fixtures would then be in the one stadium. There is a precedent for this - Liverpool and Spammers. I don’t know if the fixture computer can be programmed to allow for that in the first instance. I just hope we don’t have the Spammers at home in the first 3 or 4 fixtures as they would be sure to say no.
If Spurs asked to play their first 3 or 4 home games all at Wembley then that is a 2nd stadium scenario and would require the 14 votes of the PL chairmen in that case. I don’t think Spurs would go down that route.

If, there was a more major delay then we have the option of Wembley for the full season.
That is what none of us hope for, but the contingency is there if needed.

I am also not a expert but I've never known a builder to not get three weeks off at Christmas. So that's two homes games we've potentially caught up

I agree with those who imply, if things are behind, there's time to catch up. So, for example, iirc 6 test events is often preferred or required in order to secure the public license (possibly hence the mid-July completion date). Well, maybe that can also be squeezed in terms of frequency.

Also, as we've seen, Athletico are still finishing there's even now.

Personally, I fear the engineering more than the basic construction but that's because it seems untested on the scale we will use it. But what do I know.

There is surely a long, long way to go in all this.
