DAM! I suppose your right I can see the kitchen being underneath the mezzanine.

...I was hopping it was some secret societies meeting round table thing, that would have been a lot more dramatic

Maybe they read the plans upside down.

I think it may be a swimming pool for the floor above.

By the way.. the mechanical floors have this same feature throughout the wings.. they dont take up the extra floors because of the height alone.. they actually have extra landings in the middle of the floors that look like extra areas that are sectioned off.. my guess is for equipment to monitor the mechanics of that area. Well I believe its quite consistent throughout the tower.. imagine what the top 6 levels that are up to 5-6 floors each will be like!!

I took the same principle for counting other mechanical floors.

The core has the right number of floors (which is not visible from outside) however from the wing look like it has 1 floors less no matter how you count. From what I know, 2nd, 3rd and 4th mechanical all have at least 1 floors less if you count physcially. So from here you should understand that you can't really count the number of floors physically for Dubai

And btw Cul, why did you said its 2 floors to be complete for concrete section? I thought L155 should be the last fully concrete floors? Maybe you know something we didnt know

@imre : how "massive" would you describe the shadow, that the burj throws at the surrounding?

Does it have a lot of impact? is it "dark", or is the sun standing so steep in dubai, that it doesnt matter, if the building next to you is 100, 200 or 1000 meter tall?

Aluma Systems make scaffolding and formwork for concrete.

After L155 there is also L155 mezzanine, both 3.2m high. I just find out from PDF at Sky Towers page that concrete stops at L156 (585.7m) and steel is braced into the concrete only from floor 155 slab upwards. Thats only 7m of steel embedded in concrete.

Here`s the link check the 2nd page!

I thought concrete will only stop completely at L162?

Concrete stops for walls only. It is still used for floor slabs.
