They could easily reap back the money if they sell.

And then some, but Ausgrid is notoriously bloody minded.

Saw this on the perimeter wall of 33 Bligh St (O'connell street end) today. 'Sydney Metro, Bligh Street construction site'. Did I/we miss something?

Sorry, don't know how to upload the photo. It wants the URL. Can't I upload it as an image file?

Not at all surprised if future plans allow for a (minimum) 205 metre tall tower.

this will be height limit tower or taller. a stage1 will come in next couple of years.
its postitive news even though its not happening now atleast we will see a deserved tallie. not a squat 165m tower.

Looks like 33 Bligh st is part of the Martin Place metro development - Bligh Street tunnelling support site

Work is starting there in December and continuing in 2018...

Delivering site huts, equipment, tunnelling machinery and materials to site
Concrete works for foundations of the acoustic shed
Constructing site driveways on O’Connell Street

Construction update here..

Good news re Metro and future development BUT if only those 2 buildings on Hunter Street could be incorporated back into the site.
