Mm, I saw it too. Grey steel in the south-east corner of the site. Marketing suite maybe, though they've already got a little visitors' centre.

Some construction and scheduling info, including about a 2-storey marketing suite.
http://www.betterbankside.co.uk/site...nteractive.pdf The main contractor appears to be Brookfield Multiplex: http://www.constructionenquirer.com/...ower-approved/ I was trying to find out about the structural design but am only aware that its a reinforced concrete structure. I assume once substructure works are sufficiently complete, that we'll see a core rising followed by concrete slab floor construction, akin to St George's Tower. Construction is said to take 2 years starting in 2013, so we may see completion in 2015. Hopefully we'll see the substructure complete and the core rising by end of year. Sound like most of the tower construction will happen in 2014. Also, just to note that according to the revised planning permission, the floor count was reduced from 52 to 50, though the height and envelope remains the same.
