Attitude and Lifestyle of the public especially youth is very much different from 5 years before. Private investments are also good in Kollam. You may hear some amazing projects related to private investments this year.

The problem for the city and the district is lack of good and wide roads.

Just see how much difference can a wide Kollam Bypass can bring to overall development of the city. Kochi Bypass, Trissur Bypass, and Calicut Bypass are ensuring more private investments and development to those cities. Moreover, the roads in these cities are good compared to Kollam and are 4-laned or getting 4-laned. We can highlight only the Ashramam - Kapplandimukku 4-lane road..but that is just a 4-lane for cars and 2 wheelers. It is of just 15 metres width.

Related to Kottarakkara, the town should have become a municipality along with Adoor or any other peer towns long time back. Kottarakkara though big in size lacks good and wide roads. A municipal status would have made a great change. Kerala Congress B and their appeasing attitude made Kottarakkara a choking town. The peer towns of Kottrarakkara in other districts have grown in terms of private investments and infrastructural development. Adoor itself has made significant leap.

The attitude of people should mainly change in terms of infrastructual development and road development. These are the areas where our people should show more genorosity and lenience. Lifestyle and Fashion is not so significant in terms of actual development.

Attitude and lifestyle is not changed too much.See Kozhikodu and Thrissur. They are fast growing cities in kerala from where we have to learn little bit of their attitude towards development. Both cities will be metro cities near future.

but we & Alappuzha will be still on same era..Only Port is providing some relief. Our youth and politician should come forward. Now we are still behind kottayam & Kannur from the prospective of Keralites.
