The best way to perceive the height is every 10 meters is 1 percent. So right now the building is around 19.8 percent of it's top out height.

Even though the building gets thinner the higher it goes it still gets more difficult because of the height.

Not even one floor per week isn't much but at least it's progressing.

How fast was it to build the New World Trade center one

I have a feeling the reason to having that time span for each floor is due to new safety/labour rules and attention to detail

it is a complex building, so taking it smartly is a good approach

I mean in the EU and Canada it takes so long for a building to be made

The old one: fast
The new one: slow
Understandably ofcourse.

Seeing as the Saudi Government wants to phase out foreign labourers and instead have Saudi citizens eventually take over most job roles, it explains why they are upgrading labour laws and overall safety, hours, etc...

Eventually they might increase pay, etc... to entice their citizens.

Of course in Islamic Law you are suppose to have high safety and money standards anyway but you know how some people are in this global world in were to get to a developed climax you want to take the quickest shortcut there is and sadly we saw that with every single nation from the west to the east; in which they would go through that and eventually later on go bananas on other countries doing the same when they themselves have already settled to a comfortable position.

Truly unfortunate but at least now we can see reforms that balance these equations/factors

Just be glad that Saudi Arabia is situated near the equator and thus doesn't need to get through 4 seasons (well at least parts of the country and not so dramatically). Plus that this project is private and already is agreed upon to be paid for until completion without reeling in any investment.

Because if that was the case then it would've been even longer

I really kinda doubted this thing going full height and probably pissed off a few folks in process, but if it's 20% full height, I will eat Crow, and love it.
