Vigneux sur Seine, near Orly.

I wouldn't want to live there.

I think it does, it's a housing project. Anti urban industrialised sleeping units. Too high and too dominant on the skyline.

Presumably they're not really a fan of windows. Someone should tell them that portholes on ships are small for a reason and its not asthetics.

First piece of big news for 2007.

03 Jan 07

Arca's revised proposals for the Greengate site in Salford were submitted for Planning Approval just before Christmas. The design features two towers of 46 and 31 stories. A 5-star hotel faces a new urban square, the centrepiece of a masterplan for the area.

The towers feature a unique layered facade, achievable by means of a special maintenance strategy.

Manchester's first observation deck is set to open on the tallest tower with spectacular views of the city.

those towers in paris look cool! they remind me of something Chris Foss (a famous 60s, 70s, 80's sci-fi book artist) would have in his paintings.

I thought the 40 and 25 in the title of the thread became 46 and 31 by adding the 6 underground stories. If have assumed if they were giving up on the underground floors the application would have been 40 and 25...unless of course the extra 6 six floors are above ground level and it'll be a genuine 46 floors from the ground up?

Bashir Issa was interviewed in i think Pad Magazine. He said that the reason they were no longer having the six levels of underground parking was because they had hit granite- hence the long delays (coupled with the PP issues. They were proposing 2 levels of underground parking that would extend under the newly proposed 'market square', but needed SCC's permission as this would be a private project existing under public land. The potential complex issues that could arise there are numerous.

The link to Pad is: http://www.padmag.co.uk but it doesn't give anything away. I'm about 75-80% it was in there though.

Chompo44, your surely not doubting the reliability of Mr. Issa's publicly released information are???
