Also, I just heard a rumor that Harbeque is taking the spot on South Charles next to C&R Pub, where Szechuan used to be.

Unfortunately that's not active as BTS decided on moving to 1111 Light Street. As far as I know the property is just getting leveled soon with no plans at the moment. If I were a developer, I might go after the remaining business at Tide Point not named Under Armour and see if they'd like to move to new properties on Key Hwy. You know UA will want to take those spaces over soon!

Great spot for Harborque, I noticed the lease sign in removed. I was hoping for another Chinese or Vietnamese place, but good for them. Snoasis has also either moved their business or referred their business to the new Out of the Blue Cafe on Fort Ave in Locust Point.

Do you know if there are any plans to put a fence or barrier between Race and the tracks? I've heard that the trains HAVE to blow their horns going around that turn because there is no partition there. (Not sure if that's true, just what I've heard)

Just my opinion, but I know I can hear the train pretty well from where I live on S. Charles St, and for me it's hard to imagine paying $400k+ for a house that will be right next to the tracks, and subject to intense sound pollution.

I was told that CSX has show an interest in putting a wall up in the past. The developer is hoping that in the future with the millions in Casino Impact Funds coming to the area, it might be the type of project that is considered with CSX and the impact funds combing to make it happen.

I'd be for it, it would certainly help out all homes on the Western side of Charles. He also mentioned it might be cool to grow Ivy on the wall.

I haven't heard anything substantial. I'm just glad they shut down the bar that was there. Hopefully it will get rehabbed and may be smart to move the liquor license to a different location, possibly one of the new buildings on Wells.

The building across the street from HomeSlyce is slated to be a new restaurant - it will be very good for the surrounding area, and help to continue the upswing that block is seeing right now.

The new restaurant won't open until 2 East Wells Street is closer to completion / completed.

Michael's Cafe from Timonium is proposing a large restaurant at the corner at Cross and Charles that currently holds a lot and boarded up Autobody shop. More information by tomorrow.

Good news, though the reno they're doing to their place in Timonium has be one of the slowest in history.

Should be a very interesting next month in SoBo as a new German Bar is being protested with the liquor board and I would assume there would be similar apprehension for this proposal.

Exciting news, KLynch. Have you heard anything about what's going on at the old Ullswater Restaurant at the corner of Fort Avenue and Jackson Street? There's a big orange "Public Notice" sign in the window about a liquor license transfer, and mentions Timber Run LLC or something. It would be great to see something move into that space.

Just saw that on the Liquor docket but don't know anything specific. That place and Lime are the two longest vacant places I can think of... would be nice to see both filled as Dirty Oars looks like it could open soon.

harborque is indeed moving to charles street in august or september. asked them today when i was there and they were more than willing to tell us.
