Very good! I now far prefer to fly out of MIA than FLL now. Of course it helps that I live half a block from a metrorail station. Still I bet $4/day to park at a metrorail parking lot still beats paying that to park long term at the airport, for those who don't live close. But for me that cost savings alone (vs the parking lot west of I-95 off Sterling Rd when I fly from FLL) now means the extra cost of a domestic flight out of MIA (on AA) is probably about break even with FLL (on SWA or JB) or maybe even slightly cheaper.

Actually my experience isn't over as I haven't gotten back yet (writing this from a boat traveling up the Yangtze right now). But I expect it to be as smooth coming as it was leaving.

Feels wierd that I'm posting this at 9:26 AM Monday morning. It's 9:26 on Monday here also... just not AM.

^ CalleOchoGringo one more question regarding Metrorail to MIA. Did you see a lot of passengers using the train?

I think this is encouraging news for our real estate boom along with with the FAA honoring their 2005 agreement with the city.

No but it was the first Orange line train of the morning (5:19AM out of Vizcaya I believe). I'll be coming back on a 8-9ish train on the weekend so I don't think I will get a good look at whether the Orange line is well traveled or not.

Ridership has picked up a lot. I use it often (when I miss my shuttle to the TriRail station). Not in the number of Govern't Center of course but it's increasing especially since the station serves as a Bus Depot.

I once saw someone post a link where you could see every airport in the world and where it had flights. Anyone know which one I mean?

The list seems silly anyway. Heathrow in the top ten? Frankfurt number 11? Both of those make my top ten worst airports list, but lets face it, MIA still has a ways to go before it deserves a spot on this list.

Beijing Airport is f'ing amazing. And it's also one of the largest one I've ever been too. It dwarfs Miami and even manages to make DFW look kinda small!

Definitely true, but it is still a PITA. However despite my dislike for Frankfurt and Heathrow, for Europe, Charles de Gualle is the worst.
