Also snowed a little bit at Mt Dandenong while I was up there! Definitely no where as much as Hobart though, but enough to cause mud issues.

Also took this photo of a special place in Victoria. A cookie to those who can work out which town is shown in the photo. (Still unsure if I am happy with how the image came out, so I am open to constructive criticism)

I was thinking Bright, just by the town near the Mountains (I've never been there before), I google mapped it, no major lake. But nearby I found Mount Beauty/Tawonga South, looks like a good match.

Am I right?

EDIT- BTW you said in snowed in Mt Dandenong, did it settle or was it just a light flurry?

It's Mount Beauty indeed!

As for Mount Dandenong, it didn't settle except for a brief moment where it dusted the plants and then melting away in 30 seconds. What was just a drive to buy a bath plug certainly took an interesting turn for me..!

Brings back memories of the house I grew up in, in Victoria. It was very high up and at the back of the house we had a view of Melbourne CBD (distance view) that panned around to the Dandenongs and then our main view was of the Mountains and Yarra Valley. It was a great place to grow up - especially since I had a telescope - I was very much the NERD

The mountains would always get snow on them though you could really only see the snow when the fields around Mt Toolebewong got covered. Usually that meant snow on the Dandenongs too.

I wish it was less rare.

Australian cities would be even more beautiful if they were dusted in snow every few winters.
