I was watching this yesterday. I assume this is the base for the crane?

There is an auger there, but I haven't seen tower crane arrive yet.

BTW, some really cool views with all the fog right now on the webcam.

Why is this listed as site work? The pictures above depict clear construction activity underway.

Concrete or stone slurry being poured into bored shafts in the ground and then capped with heavily reinforced concrete pads = foundation work = construction.

God I hope they dont want to start that crappy project ASAP. Its a terrible design and underutilization of space by every stretch of the imaginatin. Especially once they build the new julian B lane park and the new 52 story high rise across the street that will fully tie into the river then this project will look extra ridiculous

As many here have said before, they like the idea of smaller waterfront buildings with taller buildings behind them. This seems to fit that idea.

8 Stories is not bad plus it is in scale with the surrounding buildings in this particular area regarding the Tribune site...

Not much different that these new HI towers set behind shorter waterfront locations.

So I'm coming in May for 2 weeks. In my mind we'll have this going vertical with a crane. Aquatica crane and 915 crane as well. Also AER with Mayor Buchorrn having the ribbon cutting and ceremony
for that project as well. Renderings announced for Riverwalk Tower on June 1st.
Channel Club ribbon cutting. Lmao.
