Tampa's the same as always. Even when they say it's a done deal, and construction is just weeks away, don't believe it until they actually start. And even then, don't be surprised if issues with the foundation, weather, financing or manpower slow the project considerably.

They look to be putting the tower crane base in place right now. It looks like they may have two cranes eventually.

They appear to have two bases. One seems in place on the southwest end. Maybe the other goes on the north east end. They may need it just because of the shape of lot and the buildings around it. Maybe not. Yes, it would look nice.

Yeah I was just coming in here to say, the number of cranes isn't necessarily dictated by the project's size/shape but also the project's surroundings. A crane may not be able to go so long or risk hitting another building (like Plaza) but that may not be long enough to reach everywhere it needs to reach. Therefore a second crane may be needed.

Seems like its a little slow with the caissons but I agree, once they have the first level down with no parking garage, it will go up lightning fast.

Can't wait to see the walk over go in...

Yeah they have the road closed and all the pieces lying in the road. We'll see if they can get it up today or if the storm will slow them down too much.
