Harbor Place in Safety Harbor looks like its gearing up for groundbreaking soon. They have the site fenced off and equipment on the lot.

Besides the height of 5 floors, not much a good project. No retail and instead of eliminating the parking lot there, the development of this pretty much guarantees that the lot will stay for years a long while.

Downtown Dunedin mixed-use proposal clears hurdle

By Jeff Rosenfield, TBN Correspondent

DUNEDIN — The third time was the charm for a downtown development project that had been rejected twice after residents and city officials expressed concerns over its size, scope and density.

Plans for the Courtyard on Main, a mixed-use development featuring residential, retail, restaurant and 49 underground parking spaces, were thwarted by the City Commission earlier this year after the developer, Arlis Construction, received complaints about everything from the height of the structure and its proximity to the street to the colors and architectural style of the three-story building.

Unfortunately, downtown Dunedin won't like this and personally, it should have a more historic look.

This tired Mediterranean slash Miami look as run a muck too long and be better suited on the beach, not on the historic main street.

^I don't like the colors of it but the project is a great fit. The neighbors seem to like it now.
