This project should be listed as under construction. A tower crane base has been placed and steel rebar reach above surface level.

^Would be interesting to know the motivation. Some developers are raising the first floor in low lying areas, in anticipation of sea level rise. I wonder if that's what happened here.

^really ought to be code. but i doubt it -- a proactive move like that would be a first for the region, as far as i know (though surely developers have elevated projects for "old fashioned" storm surge reasons, above and beyond code, if only out of prudence or as a selling point)

Photo from today. Btw, this project's location is about 40ft above sea level. :oho: Higher than any location in Miami proper.
