kim teng park site will be redeveloped for jb city centre transformation and future rts rerminal. development component comprises service apartments, convention centre, hotel, office, mall up to 70 storey. 2019 start for infra works

KTP must be redeveloped... No significant sitting next to a fast growing CBD... Very old residential area... We've done 1 mistake... Too much space taken for CIQ... Now, KTP must be re-developed in order to expand JB CBD... For the record, KTP used to be the proposed site for JB Twin Towers back in Ghani Othman era... But JB do have an alternative option which is the vacant land opposite IIBD... Hotel Rasa Sayang also no longer in operation... Another plot that must be re-developed is the old JB Prison... I think these areas must be re-developed 1st before converting exist residential area into mixed development... Mainly coz it will not involve with moving the residents, long protest, overlapped issues, consent & other factors as well... Surely KTP must go, but it will be debatable coz there are few other vacant lands that can be developed... Unless they start the phase 1 at the vacant land just in front of KTP which now served as a huge parking lot for people working in SG... Nonetheless, a good news for JB Transformation... Thanks for the info...

parking lot in front of ktp still remains.they only develop ktp and land beside b point. btw their convention centre net area is ++20,000m2. almost the same size as klcc convention centre and about 12k bigger than persada

greenland danga bay will start construction anytime soon. they has done a minor change. the latest update including providing a link bridge for connecting resident to commercial area. decreased the parking unit to reduce the carbon footprint, upgrades bikes line and pedestrian, and in the future, there will be a proposed public transportation connecting danga bay to jb city.

Happy for the developments at KTP... But the parking lot will remain?

Maybe U can say something about it to authority... That is a prime land...

Looking forward for the details... Plz share it here once permission given ok

Any details about 80 storey R&F? total height? haha

1 of the tallest completed residential tower in JB...

Current Ranking u/c, t/o, completed & etc above 170m:

1. The Astaka Tower 1
2. The Astaka Tower 2
3. Altus Tower
4. Setia Sky 88 Sora
5. Setia Sky 88 Nube
6. Country Garden Towers

We have around 9 or 10 towers in JB that already surpassed 170m... At least 4 towers are located in Country Garden Danga Bay... Soon Tri-Towers will be in the list...

Expected more towers will be in the list by 2020 including 1 possible supertall at R&F Princess Cove...

Yes, there are sick projects in JB:
1. Aquaint Residences - Developer charged of licensing issue & game over... 4 towers gone!
2. Marina Bay Suites - Very slow progress & not moving for many months...
3. The Peak - JV project between AQRS & Lien Hoe which led to late payment of land... 1 party want to bring the matter to court... The project stalled for many months as well... Maybe a year already...
4. Sun City - Abandoned...
