quais é que foram? terem acabado com uma zona degradada, barracas e armazéns abandonados?

só há uma coisa que eu não gostei na expo: a fila de prédios mais alta encostada à linha do comboio nunca deveria ter sido construída, está com prédios muito juntos criando um efeito parede. faziam metade dos edifícios, mais separados e do lado dos olivais.

de resto, está tudo excelente.

Pessoalmente gostava mais da zona assim:


O que se seguiu foi um chorrilho de erros, e perdeu-se para sempre um local com solo tão contaminado nalguns locais, que até competia com Chernobyl na produção de seres vivos mutantes. Um ecossistema único que se perdeu, e hoje em dia poderia ser uma mais-valia para o turismo.

E a água do Rio Tejo cheia de póias lisboetas...?

(e eu que até achava o Tejo actualmente bastante poluído vou por a viola no saco durante uns tempos após ver essa foto! MEDO)

Tenho uma ideia muito vaga do que aquilo era ao vivo e a cores (ou seja, tons de preto e castanho), pois tinha uma tia que morava em Moscavide. Mas é algo muito ténue, felizmente não me traumatizou na infância.
Mas lembro-me do cheiro, muito agradável e suave!

Os grandes investimentos para a despoluição do estuário do Tejo só foram concluídos recentemente, com a inauguração do intercetor do Terreiro do Paço à ETAR de Alcântara (SIMTEJO) e de algumas ETAR na margem sul (SIMARSUL).

Ao tempo da EXPO, a coisa estava longe, muito longe mesmo, de estar minimamente resolvida.

Exacto. E mesmo antes desta intervenção, a do Trancão ajudou mesmo muito.
Felizmente os grandes problemas já foram resolvidos, faltam outro "pequenos" focos principalmente da margem sul
