Never thought I'd say this.....but that RMIT building is actually ageing quite well. It looks better with age.

from certain angles - it looks spectacular
from behind and in front - it looks ok
from the sides - it looks messy

other than that its a nice loking tower now, same "post paint job" rise as A'Beckett tower

I agree wholeheartedly!
A spectacular OK mess!

Furthermore, it gets a little trickier for the BMU to get to those tight corners now.
But I am sure that the architects have it sorted.....
Just look at the brick that they have left up on the top of Prima Pearl. Just beautiful, isn't it?
In Architects, We Trust! Pfffft.

What kind of artist paint schemes could be used on the wall? Will be curious to see which one could work and which one would be ghastly.

I vote for "computeruser's" special blend of rainbow.

Papps, the fact that the top of PP is a brick and not an ellipse, or similar, has nothing to do with the architect and every thing to do with the individual who pull the purse strings.

The only way this average building (in terms of the great icons out there) can be saved is for Rone to work his magic on those bare, ugly, worse than useless blank walls. The right murals would look devastatingly jaw-dropping on this.

Fantastic idea Purple Dawn! You are legend material!
The world needs more lateral (how about vertical) thinkers just like you.
Have you ever thought of joining the Business Council or local Chamber of
Commerce etc?

It would be tantamount to a vertical Hosier Lane.
The BMU could be used for tours etc.... Just imagine the worldwide acclaim.

The only way that this street (precipice) art could be defaced is through random
abseiling attacks! It all adds to the whole exciting premise behind graffiti as
being 'Evolutionary' Art. Fantastic idea!

Thanks too nondeplume! Given that I have to abide with compliance to approved
Planning and Develoment Drawings before I receive an Occupancy Certificate,
doesn't the head contractor here also have the same responsibility?
Non-compliance with the Planning and Development Permit generally means no
Occupancy Permit? Therefore the Prima brick needs to be clad, yes?
