This thread is aimed as a collection of remarkable buildings with Swiss roots around the world.
- designed by a Swiss architect
- originally built by a Swiss builder-owner
- home of a Swiss corporation or institution
- the name of the building has a Swiss connection
- official buildings like embassies
- Swiss clubs or cultural institutions
Let's start with a 119m skyscraper in Paris, La Défense, called "Tour Winterthur". It is therefore around 20m higher than "Wintower", the highest skyscraper in Winterhur itself. It has got and kept its name from the original builder-owner, the "Winterthur insurance".
