Nope, Cinema 4D + vRay for C4D.

Very nice. Are the trees textured planes or actual geometry?

Actual geometry, as you can see on the previous page:

So basically right now I am making a test scene that maybe I will use later on on the current project at the university. Testing greenery and the fog. Results tomorrow.

Okay, so the result is way worse than I thought :/. But the fog rays worked pretty well. I could change the fog density and step number in it to make more dramatic sun beams coming through the tree on the right. Original is 5000px wide.

Very impressive render quality! How much do you model yourself? Like the greenery and furniture for example, they look so realistic.

Depends. 1/3 is made by me (when I see the object, but there is no 3D model of this exact thing), 1/3 is from freebies on the internet, 1/3 I buy. With the greenery - same but there are also very cheap generators of the greenery (depending on the 3D platform).

^ Yep . No PS beside the watermark .

MacBook Pro (2015) maxed out (2,8GHz, 16GB RAM)

Oryginal size is around 2400px wide. It took around 40 minutes to render. Mostly because of the greenery. It is taking 70-80% of rendering time.

Small update:

1. So basically I want to finish the house from the competition at some point but since I have so much stuff on my head I barely find time to do it. And when I am finding the time I just prefer to do other stuff because lately I am working too much in 3D (BIM).

2. Corona was just released for C4D for Mac (as a beta) and I started to test it. As I expected it is beating up vRay. I mean that's good, because Corona is wayyyy cheaper than vRay . I am very pleased with it and there is a chance that I will render the house mentioned above in Corona already. Till that time I will build probably some bigger interior scene to test Corona even more.
