Inspired by kreator's impressive photo work I thought I'd continue the visual theme and create a thread dedicated to pictorial and graphical depictions of Ireland and its cities. Here are a few I've found to get the ball rolling;
Population distribution in the Republic. I find it amazing how the Midlands and Donegal shrink in this image and how far Dublin bulges outward
Another way of seeing where people live and work; light seen from space. All the main cities are visible and you can trace the motorways from the pinpricks of light made by regional towns.
And this is a graphical representation of the number and location of planning applications in the Republic -
