Uptown Charlotte has 5 major projects under construction. But there is an amazing number of announced projects, that haven't broken ground yet.

Alley Center/Tryon Place
Brooklyn Village
Canopy Hotel
Grand Bohemian Hotel
Intercontinental Hotel
Even Hotel
Lennar Apts.
US Courthouse Expansion
10 Tryon

Gateway Village. perhaps in 50 years
Levine 1st Ward parking garage & apts. perhaps 15 years

I think Duke Energy Tower II (Charlotte Metro) will break ground next year. Will probably resubmit permit after they get their rate hike.

North Tryon & 6th - read that construction bidding will likely kickoff in 2019 (Hall House portion?).

And I think you mean Gateway Station Development...Gateway Village is part of Johnson & Wales campus. I don't think it will take 50 years (design RFPs are expected to be announced next summer).

An upcoming mixed-use project in SouthPark that will bring 203 luxury apartments and 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space to Barclay Downs Drive has secured financing.

ZOM Living, based in Orlando, Fla., now has a $30 million joint venture equity partnership with an undisclosed partner and $46.9 million in construction financing through TD Bank to build Hazel SouthPark, a six-story mixed-use project at 4401 Barclay Downs Drive. ZOM recently closed on its $13.2 million purchase of the 2.7-acre property, which currently contains a 40,000-square-foot office building built in 1987.
