I know that the weather is kinda warm and this isn't exactly in the market, but Chocolate Box on 1st and Pine has the most amazing hot chocolate. They also do chocolate tastings and have a great selection as well as being quite knowledgable.

The Starbucks at 5th & Wall has the old pastries instead of the new ones...for a while.

I'll have to try Chocolate Box. By good hot chocolate, do you mean like a melted chocolate bar with lots of sugar?

They give you your choice of "European" drinking chocolate, which is very potent and rich (you only get about the size of an espresso), or hot chocolate which is that same chocolate cut with milk (still very rich). The marshmallows are also amazing. Whenever people visit me and it's gloomy I take them there and every single one has said it's the best hot chocolate they've ever had.

Lots of good ideas! Some of the people in the group are old and rickety so places to stop and sit are great. Choc Box or maybe Seattle Coffee Works. Heck, maybe even one of the better resataurants in the Market might be a good idea.
