List of cities by number of renovations in 2012...

1. Poznan (63)

2. Krakow (60)
3. Wroclaw (51)
all the numbers aren't in yet, 2012 has been a poor year, but Poznan is near 100 now and Wroclaw and Krakow may add about 10 each by year end, we;ll see. Autumn is good for restoration work ;)

In my opinion, the most important palaces/castles that should be reconstructed by Poles in the future...

1. Saxon Palace in Warsaw (actually in Warsaw there are at least 10 other palaces that I would love to see restored)

2. Krzyztopor in Ujazd

3. Ogrodzieniec Castle

PS. After some research, I can name tens of exquisite Polish palaces (built mostly in 17th century) that are now in ruins

Examples of palaces in Warsaw that have been demolished during WW2 and weren't rebuilt...

1. Badenich

2. Branickich

3. Bruhlowski

4. Kronenberga

Some brilliant works of Tylman Gamerski like Kotowski Palace or Bruhlowski Palace shouldn't be forgotten. Most precious Baroque buildings (e.g. Royal Chapel in Gdansk, Krasinski Palace in Warsaw, Branicki Palace in Bialystok, St. Anne's Church in Krakow) in Poland were designed by this extremely talented architect.

"Krakow - city of 100 churches"
"Warsaw - city of 100 palaces"
Doesn't this sound great? :)

Wroclaw's bridges at night...

Redzinski Bridge (with its pylon reaching a height of 122 m and having a total length of 1.7 km, the Redzinski Bridge is the tallest and longest bridge in Poland)

Grunwaldzki Bridge

Tumski Bridge

Sky Tower in Wroclaw (the tallest residential building in EU, 212m)

The Raclawice Panorama in Wroclaw (monumental 15 × 114 meter, one of world's largest circular panoramic paintings; it depicts the Battle of Raclawice, during the Kosciuszko Uprising)

Wroclaw Fountain (it is currently one of the largest operating fountains in Europe, the 1 hectare fountain incorporates over 300 jets to create moving-dancing screens of water; they are used, with music and light, by a computerized multimedia program for animated water shows)

Collegiate Church of the Holy Cross and St. Bartholomew in Wroclaw (mausoleum of the Silesian Duke Henry IV Probus)
