agreed. there's no doubt that petronas is still the most beautiful structure in the earth until today and sorry for me wtc is just boring boxy building. that's my honest opinion...

I love how the WTC votes are slowly catching up. I wonder how soon they will surpass the petronas?

I doubt it. Since I joined this thread (December), I've seen the margin of victory go from 51 to 62 in favor of Petronas.

a true icon. the most beautiful building that ever built and the size is impressive plus it's twin.

last two photo have almost same angle...but both have different impact to eye..petronas easily look traditional, grandeur, majestic yet simple and modern..

It's not underrated, it's pretty well liked. People mention it a lot more than that postmodernist one to the left.

These beauties were originally planned to be hit by planes as well, but Bin Laden decided not to go for them too.

Probably because Aon isn't as massive nor as iconic as the twins. Thought that was obvious.

Yes, iconic. The Twin Towers were icons.

They were more recognizeable than the ESB, especially in the skyline. People always mistake Woolworth, AIB and Chrysler for the Empire State Building yet I don't know who could have possibly mistaken the twins. If a skyline has two massive rectangles sticking out, you know its NYC.

Even the Seagram Building is iconic.

Yeah, when I went to NYC, I had just started getting into skyscrapers, and thought 40 Wall was ESB.
