indeed. his recent "donations" to the government c/o SMC seems very suspicious. not just a small amount. probably a minimum of 1 billion for his drug rehab contribution. he recently committed to help the families of killed soldiers.

in times where your company is out there courting the government to offer you the numerous projects, donations of certain scales to the government seems very suspicious.

Slight OT:

Who owns Philippine Tourister Transport? Their latest fleet already features BRT-type low floor buses....

...sana yung ibang malalaking city operators magshift narin dito. Some of the newer Jayross Lucky Seven Tours city buses now features narrow 2x2 seating configuration so the aisle is "wide".

Sobrang hirap ng 3x2 single front nrrow door tapos puro standing rush hour...maryosep pahirapan bumaba at sumakay

That is the job of a bus transit authority which should be put in place now. Whether public or private, they can set routes, type of equipment (including safety and environmental standards), terms of service and operation (like salaried bus drivers), etc etc etc. As for BRT, it cannot be a substitute for an urban rail line (el or subway) for a city of this size. They can complement the rail lines with properly regulated bus system, with bus priority lanes, and stops on the side. Here is an interesting article on trans milenio, where they could have invested in a subway or LRT instead:

This is already a fail before this project is even started.

A 2012 JICA Study said that a BRT system in BGC is inadequate and not a suitable solution to serve the demand in this corridor. There is not enough road space for the BRT ROW for the whole corridor. The decrease in effective lane for private vehicle will induce more congestion considering the current traffic volume.

They already proposed a monorail then and forecast to serve 185T in year 2017 and 300T by 2022.

JICA from what I've observed in their past plans, have been very RATIONALE and OBJECTIVE driven. Now, with Sec Tugade in charge with the political capital brought in by DU30's presidency, he would just have followed the advice of a 3rd party development agency with money to lend. Noooooo.....Sec Tugade, listens to some no names trying to dump this BRT system.

Monorails which they can even connect all the terminals at NAIA!

Btw., thanks for bringing up that study.

Now, it might sound crazy and dumb at first but it actually makes sense for it running underground.
It's unncertain if NAIA will continue its operations for years to come, and making an expensive subway is kind of a waste

An underground BRT sound crazy at first, midterm and for all eternity.

Lechugas, this is more fictional than a fairy tale! I was taken for a ride but it was fun while it lasted. NEXT!!!

To begin with they don't know where they're going, dreaming, putting out media releases and presenting doodles doesn't really cost money.
