சமீபத்தில் பெட்ரோல் மற்றும் டீசல் விலை குறைந்ததை தொடர்ந்து கேரள அரசானது மாநில போக்குவரத்து கழக பேருந்து கட்டணத்தை குறைக்க முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. அதன்படி, உள்ளூர் பேருந்துகளில் ரூ.1 கட்டண குறைப்பு செய்யப்படும்.

இதனால் ரூ.7 ஆக இருந்த குறைந்த அளவு கட்டணம் தற்பொழுது ரூ.6 ஆக இருக்கும். எரிபொருள் விலை குறைப்பை அடுத்து பொதுமக்கள் பயனடையும் வகையில் அரசு கவனத்தில் கொண்டு இம்முடிவை எடுத்துள்ளது. இந்த முடிவின் ஒரு பகுதியாக தனியார் பேருந்து இயக்க கூட்டமைப்புகளிடம் போக்குவரத்து துறை மந்திரி ஆலோசனை நடத்துவார் என்றும் அரசு உறுதி அளித்துள்ளது. சர்வதேச சந்தையில் கச்சா எண்ணெய் விலையில் சரிவு ஏற்பட்டுள்ள நிலையில், பொதுமக்களுக்கு அந்த பயன் சென்று சேரவில்லை.

உள்ளூர் பேருந்துகளில் ரூ.1 கட்டண குறைவினால் கேரள மாநில சாலை போக்குவரத்து கார்ப்பரேசனுக்கு ஒரு நாளைக்கு ரூ.27 லட்சம் வருவாய் இழப்பு ஏற்படும்.

After hearing lot of stories about TTC Nanjil Raja , I was sad tat I can't get him nu because it existed before 1995 I think - TNSTC NGL suddenly came with a Nanjil Raja tag using d rival tag to come against SETC Nanjils becoz after d 300km rule SETC well established their Nanjil brand in d last 4yrs so in order to survive d competition TNSTC came with nanjil raja tag, so finally here it is my Nanjil raja travel review( its a ex SETC bus people can't identity him easily so they have to use tag now which wt SETC doing in current situation)

Seen d bus @ NGL vadasery bs @5.40 am ready to move rushed towards him n boarded s bus @5.45...5.50 left d bus slowly entered 4lane @6.20 den moved in 70-80 till valliyur entered valliyur bs @6.35 - moved by 6.45 after entering d 4 lane started to ripe...pickup level of d bus was not bad not gud its normal......suddenly TN 74 N 1750 MTM - CBE tiruvatar depo bus overtaked us can't Chase him...moving in normal 80+ crossed tirunelveli by 7.35pm ...here started d fury overtaked each n every STC/SETC bus in d road entered kovilpati bs @8.15pm left by 8.20pm reached d sattur aryas motel by 8.35 had a 20min break in d motel 5.15pm SETC Nanjil 3 n Nagercoil - Bangalore bus is present....

Started by 8.55 second driver took d bus maintained stiff 80+ sometimes in d level of 90-95 before crossing thirumangalam overtaked SETC ,thisai marah paravai n vasantham 2 bus n crossed thirumangalam by 9.50pm skipped d bye pass n entered in to d city even after 10pm Madurai traffic is little high managed to reach MIBT by 10.30pm - with 30min inside kk guys ( H287, Nanjil 3, TVM - HWR,) r d important buses in MIBT
Nanjil 3 left by 10.40 , TVM HWR by 10.50. , H287 left by 10.55) @10.50 MTM vanavil arrived ,10.55 trisea arrived

V left by 11pm with 40pax reached d 4Lane by 11.15 maintained steady 80 seen d kulasekaram H 287 bus pushed little high n overtaked him in 85+ - dis is only SETC bus which gave a tough fight - @12.55 Crossed trichy. ...from here heavy traffic in tolls don no y even its no a Sunday n8 each n every toll taking morethan 10+ minutes finally came to samayapuram toll by 1.25am for a bio break driver changed
@1.30 started again 1st driver. Raja on wheels he tried with his maximum effort..by overtaking all buses v overtaked nanjil 3, TVM new Highway rider AN 1102 in a toll don know wt place I thought they will race with us but they gave up,...with a slowly moving in toll traffic reached vikravandi motel fr a 10min break @4am had a 10min break

4.10 driver raj on wheels maintained 80-90...entered dindivanam 4.35 n left by 4.40am..den k got little sleepy @dindivanam n @chengelpet toll little traffic too, @6.20 reached perungalathur n reached tambaram @6.30 from here rough 1 hr to CMBT reached Chennai CMBT 7.30 ...

Class performance by TNSTC Nanjil Raja in spite of heavy traffic TVM highway rider reached with us no sign of Nanjil 3 till 7.45 in CMBT......

Now badly waiting fr a TNSTC NGL In-house body built deluxe TN 74 bus....

When i saw a Dinamalar news item about the addition of new SLFs to the fleet, i was so surprised and was curious to see them. I was mainly looking for new city buses.. Later found 2325 on road first and was in a complete surprise. Informed my friends to click them as i was in travel.

Below are pics of the new SLFs added to Madurai city bus fleet. BTW, these looks like SLFs and are not actually SLFs. These are Pseudo SLFs built by Madurai's Pasumalai unit. First of all, i would say, it is one of the great work done by them. It has got good LED displays, seats are like present Marcopolo seats and pneumatic doors are missing. They are exact copy of the current AL JNNURM SLFs running in the city. But, built on TML chassis.

All buses are added to 48 series(mainly 48AD) routes. Mainly in 48AD and some are running in 77B MIBT to Arapalayam occasionally.

Awesome!! good effort to do a come-back of JNNURM series (14-16 series). I assume built by PRC in-house BBU.

@Dhandapani, 2-3 of photos above seem identical - clicked on the same angle kudos to the author!

It is from Pasumalai unit. Earlier only Chrompet BBU has tried building SLF and that was before a decade or two. Now PRC tried and for sure they can try building a true SLF.

Leg Space was Issue there in Previous Inhouse Bulit Guys that is reason they have replaced Private Bulit Ones instead of them

In new Buses both Private & inhouse .Seats heights have been reduced & seats have benn somewhat modified which results in better leg-space than the previous batches

SETC & 3.33 Trip review

Dear forum members,

On my last 3 trips from Bangalore to Kovilpatti and KVP TO Bangalore (One from Tuti to Bangalore SETC), i found few things to share.

On the Trip of Tuti to Bangalore setc trip i have no seat i sat behind driver seat and chat for some times, on that time the driver plainly told me that he used to go by even around 130 kmp. and even with my eyes i saw...none of the private or kasrtc guys he left, he smashed everybody with his mighty speed..

And again in TNSTC SLM 3.33 guy, i found no seat, so i sat at the engine and talked with the conductor and driver. They plainly told, even sometimes they are covering the distance by 3 hrs itself. The drive of 3.33 told, sometimes he can pull upto 130 kms also...

On my last trip KVP to BLR, i take one brand new guy from TNV-BLR SETC in KVP bs at 7.30 pm, BELIEVE IT OR NOT- he got down me at 4.30 am next morning in BLR madiwala with entering of Salem and Hosur BS and a half an hour breat at motel.

Guys - NOW- No need to take private guys from punctuality travel. simply take SETC or 3.33 or TNSTC MDU/TNV BY PASS RIDERS. They are really really killing the time and reach the destiny very soon.

In 2007 time, Chromepet BBU tried only normal fleet and deluxe seating - examples I-0XX, I-2XX etc.

Hope these newbies from Pasumalai BBU are good try on SLF!

Good - hope TNSTC and private BBUs realized the past short-comings and did a better job.
