It is fully my thoughts.
They have starting pillar work on the velachery bypass road side now, halting any work near the vijaynagar bus stand. Two pillars are currently being laid.

Engineers check stability of Anna Flyover as tunnels are dug below

CHENNAI: Metrorail engineers are continuously keeping an eye on Anna Flyover, the city's oldest flyover, on Anna Salai as they are boring through soil close by to build tunnels. Officials said two tunnels connecting Thousand Lights with AG-DMS across the flyover will be ready by October.
Engineers have installed yellow markers at specific intervals on one side of the flyover to continuously monitor soil settlement that may be triggered due to tunnel boring. At present, two tunnels are being built on either side of the flyover at a depth of 22m. As the tunnels proceed straight from Thousand Lights towards AG-DMS, they bend near the flyover to skirt its foundation.

A metrorail official said the markers were placed on locations where they could install an equipment to track soil settlement or cave-in. "Our engineers monitor soil conditions every six hours," the official said. "One of the two tunnels will be completed by September and the other will be ready by October."
For the first time metro rail is boring tunnels close to a flyover. Officials said it was decided at the preliminary stage of the project that the tunnels would be built on either side of the flyover to prevent any damage to its foundation that runs up to a depth of 16m. Anna Flyover, built in 1973, stands on a foundation that is built on rocky soil. Metro rail tunnels go even further down the rocky substrate at 22m. Metro rail engineers are drilling at the rate of 8m per day as applying more pressure on the soil may damage heritage buildings on the arterial road.
