I'm glad the old historic parts of the city are being given that attention.

That was a good video. The reporter was right. It's often the smallest things that make the biggest impacts for people. I love the fact that these streetlights are solar powered as well. In a place like Mogadishu the idea is ingenious. Are they going to be throughout the entire city though?

^ Yes throughout the city.

It makes good sense to make use of solar power. Somali Telecomms companies have been using solar-powered communications masts and solar-powered mobile phone chargers, particularly in rural areas of the city, for a number of years now. Solar powered cookers/stoves are also used in rural areas.

Regulations need to be put in place in these times of construction boom in order to preserve what's left of Muqdisho's heritage. I know it sounds outta place as the country has other priorities at this stage but still, do the work correctly now instead of playing expansive catch up in years to come.

Dad badan ayaa wax iska dhisaya yaka on ka fiirsan saameynta ey ku yeelaneyso quruxda, bilicda & dhaxal dhaqameedka caasimada. Talaabo dag dag ah ha la qaado before it's too late.
