Here's a random public hospital in maybe the less equiped big city in the country :

Here's the WORST universitary hospital in Morroco

So by the logic of some people maybe we have the best health system in the world. The same people (Mister79 and others) who are so fond of rankings should check the WHO ranking of health systems where morocco is 29th ahead of USA and Canada, Denmark ...

Type 'women giving birth in the street' in google and see how many cases there are un the US, UK, Egypt, anywhere in the world. These Kind of exceptional events happen anywhere. How do I know they are exceptional in morocco? because everytime it happens (once or twice in months), it makes a big fuzz and everyone is talking about it.
You do the same thing over and over again : take exceptionnal cases and make them sound as the general case.

The problem is not in the hospital but rather in the patients and their companions. Whenever I see those, they give me the impression that they come from a very uneducated background. They usually come from the rural areas or from the rundown areas in the city. They like to stay in front of the gate or come without an appointment. So guess the yield of that, huh? Here is one.

Women giving birth in the streets is indeed all around the globe and it makes the news in Morocco. (^ Reda85 answered that pretty well on the above post).

Two, I've been to many hospitals in different countries (I'm always sick ), and I have to conclude that Morocco's Hospitals (whether it’s public or private) are very much modern, advanced and well organized (usually, exceptions always occur though). But what makes me trust the health system in Morocco is too simply the doctors. I have to admit that most of them are really competent (again, there are exceptions).
Moreover, healthcare in Morocco is not that expensive. Even the private sector is now more open to low category citizens, which is a huge plus.

Like my friend Doukali said earlier, here in this thread there are guys that see the glass half full and there are others that see the glass half empty. But I have to say, Morocco is well ahead of most Arabian, middle eastern and African countries, even better than south east European states. This is a fact that everyone has to admit regardless of the disagreements and the different views.

Another thing that makes go crazy is that people want appointements with specialists or surgeries right there right now for free. They complain if they have to see a specialist in 2 or 2 weeks in the public hospital. And then they begin comparing with countries they've never been to and just heard stories of. Like for exemple in Canada, you have to wait for months or even years for some specialists in the public sector. Yet people are still convinced that in canda (or the US, ...) people don't wait for appointments

It's a desperate move to try to compare Moroccan health care system with US or Canadian system.
Our healthcare system is bad. Period.
