Yes but again bad journalism, as you say it's not just Brisbane exit (I hate that world) but Sydney and Melbourne will follow at the same time or last.

Typical a paid article.

I think one of the Melbourne Top Shops will close, my sister was down there yesterday and they went to one and had a closing down sale.

Oh that's all we need a Westpac mega store when people are deserting going into banks. Words fail. I hope JD gets one of the spaces.

If there is one thing the Brisbane CBD doesn't need its more bank branches...
Westpac alone already have 3 CBD branches (115 Queen, 260 Queen, Creek/Elizabeth).

Who says how many bank branches are needed or not? I assumed, considering the demand for branches across the country, that if they're proposed, they're needed.

Westpac have 3 branches, but NAB and ANZ both have 4 while Commbank has a massive 6, so I would say there's scope for one more. That said, I suspect a branch in the Forever 21 location would replace the 115 Queen Street branch.

The majority of Topshop's Australian stores (5 of 9 stand alones and all Myer concessions) closed back in July/August. Only the Brisbane, Melbourne & Sydney CBD stores and Bondi Junction survived. Not even the flagship Chapel St store made it. These remaining four were sold to Topshop's UK owner Arcadia Group in August.

Not the most exciting update, but the new Cue store in the Wintergarden is open.

I caught a glance of the new Nespresso store next to it, and it looks to be getting very close to completion also.
