I think I've seen some of these under construction last year. All these projects look lovely now but I can't help but to think that in 10 years time they will just look like huge mossy concrete blocks.

There's too much concrete, needs more glass

The new villas designs seem to get it.

but what will be the monthly maintenance charges per apartment?

Glass based structures may not be practical in a humid hot climate like ours..... These apartments are not central air-conditioned, to keep the interiors cool always. A glass structure, normally increases the heat content inside, due to green-house effect. Ofcourse, there are some new kind of glass structures, where such retention donot happen. But its too costly... Secondly is all about maintenance... A glass structure requires a regular cleaning almost once in a fortnight, which help of skylift facilities. While other doesn't.

If a person, who has potential to buy this apartment, almost 1 to 2 crore or beyond, they will definitely have capacity to pay a bill of thousands monthly...
