Wow, what tacky signage on the place next door, but depressingly predictable. It reduces by about 25% what I'd be prepared to pay to live in the building. Admittedly it's no beauty queen; the 2 on either side are though, and it's lowered their class as well.

I don't think developers will ever learn. It's up to the owners to demand some actual and enforceable standards for what gets tacked up on their building

Yeah, looks alright from afar, but that street level is atrocious. Also, I find it quite amusing how the garage door doesn't line up with the driveway part of the curb.

Nothing unexpected though, it was clear from the original drawings that the street level aspect of this building was pretty poor.

I'm assuming the driveway doesn't line up because the developer is too cheap to rebuild the curb themselves, instead waiting for the council to subsidise them by redoing it at some point in the future. In the meantime, the footpath will be ruined by cars driving along it to get to the garage door.

I agree, but if the alternative was a little tacky store painted bright green with sales signage all over the place (like next door) then I'm not sure what's worse. If I was an owner in this building I think I'd probably prefer the way it is to the way the neighbour looks. I mean, let's face it - they could have put a hipster jazz club with an R8 parked outside in the renders, but in this location... you've got to give your investors a bit of credibility
