I like how Occidental Park will be enclose, and I'm hopeful it'll be activated as well.

I still wish we had beer gardens at our parks with rows of seats facing the park to activate the space. It works in Paris and Amsterdam, why can't it work here? Occidental and Westlake would be the two I start.

Because we can't have nice things. Why, pretty soon there'd be drinking OUTSIDE of those chairs too!

This is a GREAT addition to Pioneer Square. However, the homeless problem is getting out of control. Tents, tarps, sleeping bags, clothes, trash, etc..., are now the norm for this area. Downtown Seattle is slowly but surely resembling LA's skid row.

Sure, that's possible here. As long as you have double fencing, wrist bands, and a full time bouncer checking IDs. Fun!

How about a bounce house, sippy cups, and Jell-O shots?

I think it adds a lot more to occidental, also brings a major company.

Seattle invented Skid Row. Literally.

But yes, something needs to happen soon. I'm just waiting for the Stranger article bemoaning the loss of such prime hobotat.
