You would have to think a third or fourth runway would be on the cards by the time all this is finished. I can only assume it would be south west or west making it kinda spread out like Schiphol.

Office for National Statistics | Mid-2016


The Office for National Statistics have released their yearly mid-year population estimates for the UK, which act as fill-in data for the Census, which is conducted every ten years. The last Census was 2011, the next Census is 2021.

Here's the results for Manchester and area:-
