True, I can't really blame them for it however it is sad to see that a lovely building like this cannot be reused. I guess the real question is where is the heritage groups when you need them, have any taken action for this?

Some slight structural amends to the approved app. Mainly making one of the walls flush instead of an alcove.

Bigger, better render showing the brickwork in more detail.

+1 to the architects for not filling the render with dozens of people frolicking in a very un-Mancunian sunlight

This is apart of Manchester I never visit or cross.

I think I'm going to have to check it out so I can remember what it was actually like. At this rate with all the developments and proposals Ancoats is set to be more or less completely re-developed in 10 years.

Isn't it the same artist who has done the birds on gable ends in Didsbury? On the gable end wall at Wine and Wallop and at Blaggs?

p.s is there anyone on here who would help me with a 'line of sight' question - it's really hard to tell how much this building will obstruct my view (despite being 1 floor above it)

I could model the building in Google Earth and take snapshots from your window? Which building and which floor is your apartment on?
