Kansas City voters approve streetcar taxing district with 70% approval

This election approved the district being formed, the next election will be the voters inside this district voting for a tax increase to pay for the line which will be the real decider if KC gets a streetcar starter line which many hope will be the start of a larger streetcar and light rail network. |

Hopefully this does not turn into the cluster**** that characterized the light rail proposal several years ago.

This plan is pretty much nailed down. The only obstacle is procuring the $100 million. A councilman said we should be riding streetcars by 2015.
