This is the kind of well educated, smart, considerate commenting that keeps me visiting this forum.

I urge you to 'design something better in Sketchup' and please do share the result here, we need laughter to warm us up in this miserable weather!

If you are referring to 4WTC, its actually an incredibly handsome tower. The glass is top notch in person. The massing blends really well with the rest of the Fidi and 1WTC. The engagement at the street level is also pretty well thought out. 4WTC is one of the towers they got right.

Funny, it may not seem tall next to 1WTC, but it is almost twice as tall as the tallest building in my area.

I live, literally, next door to a collection of 1500, 1700 plus foot broadcast towers. I'm used to seeing tall structures like the WTC on a daily basis.

At first, when I saw the renderings for 3WTC I didn't like it. It didn't fit in with the other buildings like 1 and 4 WTC. since it has risen and glass is going up, it is looking really nice. It fits right in there. I can't wait till it is complete.

3WTC is almost 3 and a half times taller than the tallest building in my country

The whole point of that design, of 4 WTC, is the incredible detailing seen up close.

The glass for starters! I also like the sharp edge corners and the lobby is well done. It may seem like a boring tower but it does what the other buildings don't; be simple.

You definitely have to see it in person, it's more imposing than it looks.

I am sure it looks impressive IRL. I have just seen tower 4 UC and far from topped out. It´s just 2m short of a supertall. Other towers might be taller officially but this one has almost 300m tall straight walls going up on 3 sides, and it has a huge bulk. Something we rarely see. Even in Guangzhou or so it would be a prominent addition to the skyline.

The best "detail" of 4 is most definitely its curtain wall. The reflectiveness and its ability to make this tower sometime disappear is incredible. Makes for great pictures.

I think the cross bracing is distinctive enough on 3, I just wish it was at least 4 floors taller. The setbacks should have been taller than the setback and roof of 4 to really compliment it and simultaneously fulfill the "spiral" effect.
