But then, I am not sure the Millenium city for example is the most romantic place to be in Vienna

Well, being on the shore of the river Danube, for example where Nussdorfer Schleuse is, looking towards Millenium-Tower, can be very romantic!

Vienna is very similar to the many cities/towns I have seen all over Germany. Nice photos but the snowy Winter season I'll pass.
