I like the new tram's interior design.

If only US streetcars looked like that.

Now the tram finally passed all tests and is in real operation, there are about 9 of them delivered to Prague currently, till the end of March number should reach 25 and till 2018 250 new 15T trams in Prague.

I took it for the first time today and must say I quite like it, interior is decent, it's quiet, ride is smooth, it's roomy, full low floor, overall much better feeling than previous 14T. My videos from inside.

Thanks for the nice impressions.

It seems that these trams aren't air-conditioned. Is that correct?

^ These are not, only cabin of the driver. However the Prague Public Transit Co. which buys the trams will probably change the purchase order for trams with full air-conditioning. There are some negotiations going on.
15T trams which are being delivered to Riga already have air-conditioning.

Since 2010 there's 5.7km extension of metro A line going on, should be completed in 2014. It includes four new stations including new terminus.

Červený Vrch - Veleslavín - Petřiny - Motol (new terminus)

Skoda 15T looks very nice, IMO better than our PESA 120Na. I want a few of them in Warsaw.

Whats with the new stations ? They do not exactly seem to be of such a high standard as one would expect from Prague. Maybe its just the colours ?

not in near future. After the section to Motol is completed the priority will be the new line D.

Are there plans to purchase newer rolling stock for the Prague Metro (i.e. souprava metra M2)?

There will be completely new rolling stock for line D - unmanned and probably less heavy than current three lines. Regarding Siemens M1, it is being gradually equipped with newer electric traction, theses new are being named M1D a have different sound and run more smoothly.
After all, M1 is quite new rolling stock, delivered since 2000. I've never heard about M2.

This is a nice little photo, showing all four generations of Prague's metro trains.

Thanks, it looks like M1 with different front.

BTW today last 81-71M arrived to Prague from Škoda Plzeň
http://prazsky.denik.cz/zpravy_regio...s20110215.html
Overall there should be 93 modernized 81-71M units on both A and B lines now and 48 M1 units on line C.

Let's not forget the heavy rail. Taken at Zlicin railway station, this DMU runs down to Andel every hour.
