I don't think our great environmental protect origanisation will skip this project, they will go to have strike to against this development.

Consider natural disaster we have in Taiwan, I don't think it is good idea to build high-rise building in very natural-sensitive area. I remember I told about poor development plan for Sun Moon Lake, which allow 20f+ hotel stand there.

As seen in the pics, the concept is to have everything is enclosed within the house - probably first of its kind in Taiwan - the garden, swimming pool (which is accessed from the master bedroom), skylight. No matter which floor you are standing, the garden is always the focal point.

I have checked out that house with one of my relatives. It's pretty cool. There is a indoor swimming pool and a small garden on the roof too, which are not shown in the photos. You can enjoy the nature lighting and open space, while keeping privacy.

oh so it's only US$1+something million. not bad. it does look pretty big. if that was in sf, la, ny, london, etc. it would be several US million!!

It's in rural town i believe in new taipei city though.
AND i still don't know what the square meter of this thing is. And no pics of the pool =/

wow there's some super sweet residences there! i'm so glad to see more modern contemporary designs rather than the usual tacky faux european traditional style architecture. and i'm glad to see the developers investing in quality landscaping design as well as putting in sidewalks so pedestrians can have a safe place to walk on instead of building right up to the street!

and i'm also glad to see they are not only using real garage doors used for homes instead of the typical 'steel gate' metal ones used for stores but that they've designed some real nice ones like these wooden ones:

one thing i dont get that i find very common in taiwanese homes is the open garage. why do taiwanese prefer open garages where cars are exposed to the environment instead of enclosed ones where the car can be protected from weather, dirt and debris? especially when you drive an expensive car like that porsche! not to mention the fact that you can add more living space if you build OVER the garage. kind of weird!

Wow these buildings are really nice. I'm glad Taiwan are building more prettier buildings to replace the old ones. Now we just gotta wait a few years till we have pretty buildings everywhere .
