At least as far as NY goes, it's poised to maintain the top slot. Consider the following:

Torre Verre
56 Leonard
Coach Tower
HY North
WTC 1
WTC 2
15 Penn
250 E 57th
One 57
Mercedes House

Also, who knows what's in store for 225 W 57th and 425 Park!
BIG Pyramid
400 PAS, etc.

I have an 18" picture of the Tour de Verre. Then it's going to happen? It was a real shame about the Chicago Spire, they say there's a surplus of condos though. Globally, there seems to be a surge in 2,000 ft towers.

Yes. Torre Verre is in the works. There's strong demand for condos in NY.

This is one of my favourite claddings in NY. Very well designed and high quality glass.

Good catch by Hunser on SSP. Another 600 footer for NY!

"Figures
Height: Architectural 183.4 meter / 602 feet
Height: Occupied 166.0 meter / 544 feet
Height: To Tip 184.5 meter / 605 feet
Floors Above Ground 40"

A very neat box. Its cladding is better than that from its taller neighbor.

In my opinion, the cladding rivals that of the WTC!

It really caught my eye when I drove past it on my trip. I admired the tower before I realized which one it actually was!

You can't really make any comparisons to WTC. This building is clearly not on the same scale or level as wtc but seems just perfect for its size and location.

The cladding is quite at the same level. It has very few waves and is reflective.

I just compared the posts on the last page to those on the first.

Same as in many cases, people can't tell how bad and boring the design is, and once finished they like it.

Since I like glass boxes and since it's an important part of why I love NYC I like this project from the beginning.

This is only one year ago, incredible how fast in went up!
