Not trolling:
Why is "SUN" (S*n) considered to be inappropriate for this forum but actual filth and obscenities seem to be acceptable? |

The Sun's sales are now 12,000 in Liverpool, still 12,000 too many. I can't understand why anyone buys it considering the damage it has done to this city and the fact the far from genuine 'apology' it issued in 2004 was only done to justify getting an exclusive series of interviews with Wayne Rooney, and also included an attack on the city's lack of forgivingness and unwillingness to 'move on'.

A lot of sales come from contractors, workers, people passing through.
And a few idiots.

I was wondering why the word "Sun" couldn't be included in the title of this thread. |

Because it's considered ultra vulgar.

As to why it wasn't probably because, like other savvy Liverpudlians, Porto chose not to use the name that that rag on the internet. So as to not got give it any online publicity and assist it in the various subtle and unsubtle ways in which the internet and search optimisation works. As an example, the last thing anyone would want is ads for the rag to be appearing at the bottom of this thread. |

One of the funniest thing I seen was going on a Barnes Travel coach to a Champions League game at Chelsea. 2 undercover cops were sat at the front and their cover was blown when one of them, who clearly hadn't done his research but is probably now a Detective Superintendent, took that particular paper out of his bag to the furore of all those around him.

When I was out and about the other week, I noticed that the newsagent on your left as you approach the start of the M62, opposite the Rocket fly-over actually has a big sign in their window, stating 'WE DO NOT SELL THE S*N. JFT96'. Does anyone know if there are any other newsagents in the city taking such a commendable stance?

Does anyone else still cover it up with a few Mirrors when they go into newsagents or supermarkets? I've done it for years as a matter of course, don't know if it stops any at all being sold, but it makes me feel good.

I live very near to Melwood (LFC's training ground in case anybody reading this thread doesn't know) and the two nearest newsagents (The 'Sky' and the Co-Op) both stock said newspaper. I don't remember seeing any in Tom Draper's, though, but I could be wrong. |
