Looks like you won in the end Sanj - by getting your name first in the thread Title. I hearby petition you Dilaz in making this gross injustice good.

That section of Hay St is so damn ugly. But I think Samby is right. It's not the buildings themselves as they are quite lovely, more so the tenants and the awnings they've put up. Another eyesore is that convenience store on the corner of Barrack and Murray (next to the dodgy cafe).
Here's hoping $2.5 million goes a long way to make it look presentable.

There's this Heritage Council link, but it doesn't tell us much except that it was built in 1910: http://register.heritage.wa.gov.au/c...lace_seq=26488 Pic from Google Street View:

Burberry was in the $800,000 mark and Armani was $150,000. On second thought, $150,000 for Armani??? That can't be right.

Yeah, I had a look through the old DAs and that's what it said. Though I'm thinking that was just the signage. The control freak in me would look and look until I found it but today, I just can't be bothered to be honest. Quote:
I've also just called them and they have no plans to do so. Not sure where your friend got that from? They're open Mon - Sat until 4.30pm

God news about the apple store. Rents in the surrounding stores will go up and I think we will see a change in the type of tennants. Stores with the $$$ are going to want a piece of the foot traffic.
