well i certainly enjoyed myself 2007 - 2008 until four seasons and raffles were stopped scrapped and suspended and was sent home
glad i'm not there now however but even then could sense the undercurrent of unrest |

Well, that is great to know. Bahrain is a beautiful country and - I believe - the best of the whole GCC because its people are very well educated.
However, when I was there as an expat I did feel quite uncomfortable at times. Even though I'm a Shia Iraqi I try to view things from an unbiased perspective and take into account all people's concerns. Naturally I want to democracy in Bahrain (as I do in Syria) as I think that this will allow the country to develop further - though I'm aware that there are many (including many on this forum) who would rather see democracy in one and not the other. |
