Matthan comes to Bangalore


Bangalore, Sept. 22

Matthan, a 198-room five-star hotel, becomes the latest to join Bangalore's buzzing hospitality scene.

The hotel, located in the heart of the city on the old HAL Airport Road, will serve the commercial, business and infotech companies in the area, Mr Arya Srini Rao, General Manager of Matthan, said. It would also serve the leisure traveller, he said.

This is the first hotel venture of the promoter, Sterling's Mac Group, which operates 250 restaurants in the country and West Asia, Mr Rao said.

Built in the Indo-Asian architectural style, it has 53 suites and 145 luxury and deluxe rooms and is located opposite the premium Hotel Leela.

So many new 5 star hotels coming, mostly by well known branded chains.. Our good old Leela or Taj may go out of business Or taj can sell off one of its hotels in bangalore to those brands.

But Im excited about hotel at airport. That will add value to the bengaluru airport..

St Regis is one of the brands owned by Starwood hotels.

The architecture looks exactly like the Keys Hotel on Hosur Road, in Singasandra

All Keys hotels seems to have same architecture, like Ginger from Tata.

Last day I was driving from Hoodi to Graphite jn and saw this, thought that it exactly looks like Keys Trivandrum.

where exactly is this hotel? there are so many hotels in whitefield around itpb. there is a taj (vivanta now) as part of itpb itself, zuri just a few metres before. premier inn (3 star) on itpl main road (mahadevpura). there is another one about 100m south of premier inn (mapple hotel) and i think couple of more 3 star within epip zone.

another one at prestige shantiniketan. basic structure here is complete but not sure who would be running it. it was planned as 5 star (radisson has backed out) but could be 4 star.

Close to GRAPHITE jn, as you drive from Hoodi. little before taking left turn ot SAP Labs. I had stopped of the signal at Graphite, then noticed the u/c Hotel on the left.

that means there are 3 hotels within 500m on that road. all these are very close to epip zone.

and i just checked google to get names of other hotels i have seen within epip zone - there is fortune select trinity, radha hometel, ginger, mark boulevard & clarion (choice hotels).
