New Scene is ugly, doesn't fit the place and it's going to be reconstructed in 2012 or later. Final appearance has not been chosen yet if I'm right. I am not sure if it's protected or not, but I don't think so.

Yes, the tower looks quite nice and actually improves the silhouette of the mountain, but somehow I still prefer the old Baude/Bouda. To me a proper mountain in the Sudetes has to have a traditional Baude/Bouda, everything else just feels wrong.

Something from Commie Germany, the Peasants' War Museum:

Inside is a huge panoramic painting. The Commies wanted Socialist realism from Tübke, the painter, instead they became a almost Renaissance- like cosmography of the era... they weren't too happy with the result:

Wasn't it voted to be the third- ugliest building in Czechia or something like that? As far as I remember there were also plans to remove it.

The tower in Pec isn't better either:

Probably in some ridiculous tabloid survey. It should be rather declared as national monument and important example of brutalism in architecture. It's inside KRNAP national park so I think demolition could harm nature more than keeping it there.
More of Labská
