I wonder if many of the examples in this thread can be designated as socialist architecture. We could also just call it totalist architecture. What would be the difference?

Most of them are examples of international architecture late-modernism, Brutalism, postmodernism etc. and could be build in capitalist countries of that time too. Only socrealist architecture can be considered "socialist" imo but it was inspired by traditional styles and modernism to some extent.

Don't believe, that somebody could share the same feelings, but i really love this type of soviet architecture- monolithic reinforced concrete buildings.
Very untypical and not standart projects. You will not find more than you have fingers of every type of a building project everywhere in the world.
This was quite expensive technology, wwas first used in 1982.
Don't know these examples in the other countries, haven't seen in Latvia nor in Estonia, but in Lithuania, there are such examples even in Marijampole- 7th biggest city.
There are 79 buildings (11 variations) of this type in Vilnius alone.

So, Vilnius' prehistoric beasts

Here material is clearly seen.

I'm a freak, yeah
